Community Dental Outreach in Your Child's School

First Care Clinic is proud to serve over 66 schools in 11 counties across Central Kansas. Our team of registered dental hygienists and dental assistants visit schools to provide preventative dental care on-site, with no out-of-pocket cost.

This program provides uninsured and underinsured families with access to affordable dental services without needing to leave school.

2024-2025 Dental Outreach Statistics:

  • 5,983 Screenings
  • 1,678 fluoride treatments
  • 1,028 cleanings
  • 408 children had sealants applied to 1,092 teeth

 

What We Offer

Screening

A quick (15-30 seconds) visual-only look for obvious problems. The dental hygienist will note if the student could benefit from preventive care such as sealants and/or cleaning.

Services

How Does It Work?

Register

Complete and return the registration form to your child’s school nurse by the scheduled screening date.

Receive Care

  • Fluoride varnish is applied the day of screening.
  • Other services are completed at a later date.

No Fee For Services

  • If the student has dental insurance – we will bill insurance for services provided. If a claim is denied, there is no fee for services.
  • If the student does not have dental insurance, there is no fee for services.
