Counselor

Camille Ellard has been a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) on the First Care Clinic team since 2019. Camille graduated from the University of Kansas and earned her license in 2003. She continues to grow in her education through studies of Trauma Informed Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and Diversity and Inclusion Issues. She is a board-certified Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified Diplomat, Certified Case Manager, and is a Certified Hypnotherapist.

Camille is most passionate about connecting with her patients and being present with them throughout their personal growth. She appreciates her patients’ authenticity, trust in her, and the personal connection she develops with her patients. At First Care Clinic, she enjoys the integrative aspect of the practice – we treat both the mind and the body. Camille chose this career path because of her great empathy for the human condition and has always been a natural helper. She was also inspired by her mother who was one of the first nurse practitioners in Hays, and her father who was always a champion for the “underdog”.

Outside of her work at First Care Clinic, Camille has had a lifetime of service working with all ages. She has volunteered in many areas such as domestic violence, unplanned pregnancy, child advocacy, homelessness, etc. She spends her free time cooking, making candles, and exploring new places with friends and family.
